GTEL DEMOFEST
A contest for EdTech entrepreneurs, including students, faculty members, and app developers, to showcase innovative real-world projects using emerging technologies that serve the education sector. Participating entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to discuss options for accelerating market reach with invited investors and capital funds groups.
Tracks
Hackathon Track
Targets university students, allowing them to present their ideas and translate them into solutions through guidance sessions from IT specialists and entrepreneurs.
Application Track
Targets app developers and faculty members, enabling them to showcase and improve their previously developed applications to increase their chances of success in the market
Challenge Track
Targets those interested in data science and generative AI. Participants will be provided with educational data and will compete to build AI models to analyze and classify this data.

Conditions and Registration
General Conditions
- Participants must be EdTech entrepreneurs, including students, faculty members, and app developers.
- All projects submitted must be original work created by the participants.
- Teams can consist of up to 5 members.
- All deliverables must be submitted by the specified deadline.
- Teams must present their projects to a panel of judges during DEMOFEST.
- Participants retain ownership of their projects but must agree to allow DEMOFEST to use their project information for promotional purposes.
- At least one team member must be present during DEMOFEST on 24-25 of November 2024 to present the project and answer questions.
- Participants are responsible for all travel and accommodation expenses related to their participation in the DEMOFEST.
- Participants must adhere to ethical standards and avoid any form of plagiarism or cheating.
- Projects should incorporate emerging technologies relevant to the education sector.

Track-Specific Conditions:
- Participants must be currently enrolled university students.
- Participants must attend all scheduled guidance sessions with IT specialists and entrepreneurs.
- Projects must be at the idea stage or in early development.
- Projects should be innovative and focus on solving a specific educational problem or improving educational processes.
Track-Specific Conditions:
- Participants must have a previously developed application that they wish to showcase and improve.
- The team should aim to enhance the existing application to increase its chances of success in the market.
- The application should be innovative and address a specific educational problem or improve educational processes.
- The application must not have participated in any previous competitions.
- Participants can participate individually or as part of a team.
Track-Specific Conditions:
- Participants should have some level of expertise in data science and AI to compete effectively.
- Participants will be provided with a dataset that they must use to build their AI models.
- Projects should focus on developing AI models to analyze and classify the provided educational data.
